I Bleed Yellow (& Dodger Blue)

Went to the sperm bank last week to store my boys up for later use. Strange day, but when they called me to let me know how my sperm count, strength of sperm, shapes, and overall health of the swimmers were they finally had some good news for me. Apparently, I have like super semen. I have 10 times the sperm as a normal human being and larger percentages of healthy sperm than this sperm bank (one of two on the west coast) has every seen. They said it was even more amazing given the stress I have been under.

The day after that, I went to the hospital to get acquanted with my Oncologist and the nurses that will be pumping me up with chemo. They did a blood test measuring my oxygen count in my blood. Very high.

All of this got me thinking. The cancer grew at an amazing rate and in such a young body. My sperm grows as if I were some sort of fertility super hero. As much of a slouch I am now, whenever I have spent time working out, my body responds very well and quickly.

Allow me to veer off a little here. As is typical with people fighting cancer lately, Lance Armstrong has been a wonderful inspiration for Mitra and I lately. If you know anthing about him, you may be aware that he has a tremendous advantage over other cyclists because of his large lungs and the capacity for his blood to carry oxygen to his muscles, therefore, making his body more efficient. His body has a tremendous response to what he does with it. I'm just speculating on something I know very little about, but I wonder if that is also why his cancer spread so quickly in such a young body. Do you see where I am headed here?

You know those Tiger Woods comercials that have different people saying, "I am Tiger Woods." Well, I'm thinking that I am Lance Armstrong.
