State of the body address

Hey folks,

Man have I been sick but very happy. I guess it is pretty easy to get sick when you don't have many white blood cells uh? I've been sick all weeked from a cold on top of being weak anyway. But it gives me lots of time to lay around, think, read, and watch baseball.

I must tell you, I have really begun to visualize myself as a healthy person. I was walking across campus, in the sun and fresh air, thinking yeah, I feel good. And it is kind of weird, but I see myself in the future. I kind of feel a new sense of health. I've been feeling some things go on in my body lately too. It may not be true at all, but here is an example. The other day I swear my liver was itching. You know when you have a scab that is healing on your skin and it itches. That is what is was like. I know there are not a lot of nerve endings in your organs, but when the doc's did a biopsy on my liver, they did say I would feel it a bit in there. This was a long time ago, so the sensation is not from the biopsy. I'm thinking that it is healing. The cancer cells are leaving and the liver is fixing itself up. I'm encouraging it to heal nicely because when this is all over, I could really use a beer.

What about the Tango Tango?
Yancy's is good. You two are in need of a good butt kicking in a game of darts.

I can't wait. I'm really missing those good west coast beers right now. Almost as much as I miss you schlupps.

Hi Jason! I'm a co-worker and friend of Mike's. Mike speaks of you often and I have been inspired by your journey. Your journal certainly gives me food for thought, as I share Mike's Christian belief. Several years ago I worked with Mitra's mom on the campus of Valley Oak MS. Fahime was one of my very favorite co-workers and I remember Mitra as a tall, lanky girl, not unlike my youngest daughter, Christi.

Jason, know that I lift you and Mitra daily in prayer, and will continue to do so. Your posting today is so encouraging. I, too, believe that that "itching" you are feeling is cell regeneration and healing.

I shared with Mike that I am purchasing a luminaria for the "Walk for LIfe" in your honor. The luminaria is a symbol of strength, determination, faith and healing. I join you, Mitra, your family and friends in the belief that God will restore you to perfect health.

As far as that beer you are craving, I'll see to it that you get a six-pack or two of Anderson Valley's Amber Ale. My son is one of the brewer's at Anderson Valley and I know he'd be more than happy to provide you with a celebratory supply. He considers beer to be "the food of the Gods."

Blessings! Judy

You guys are great, and thanks Loren for sharing. I get so much from this. Not to sound all perverted, but I love being touched by you guys (that comment is going to come back to haunt me, I know).
