It's not about me

I'm making that turn lately. Not sure what is around this corner, but I am beginning to notice that it is not about me. My first thoughts are for my beautiful, loving, and adoring wife. She's a nice sight around a first corner like this.

I thought of you last night when I saw a Nike commercial and we all know how much you love Nike, as you are a Nike sell-out.

Anyhow, at the end of the commercial a football coach says, "A man who says I can't and a man who says I can are both right. Which one are you son?"

Keep turning; keep breathing; keep loving and keep being real.

I think the best spiritual minds/traditions of the world agree with you. When we reach past our ego and live for the benefit of others this a great step towards humanistic maturity.

I'm still pretty selfish myself. But perhaps, over time, I will find a more enlightened selfishness.

Some people say we should live for God or Jesus, but what could these beings need that we could possibly supply? When we do things for other people, we are doing things for God as well.

This might be a little abstract, but it is kind of like we are all god, and so when we care and love each other, we are loving god.
